pain reveals

the con prevails
continuing saga
of personal perils
a cunning plan
the march unfurls
surrounded by creatures
in darkness & claws
they scratch & bite
to point out flaws
the system's rigged
it was told
intellect's lazy
innocence sold
claustrophobic
cave closing in
the great escape
considered a win
your liquid diet
served you well
your halogen heart
a bitter pill
what's left to burn
in this haunting
escaping claw cave
suddenly daunting
take the walk
trudge this creek
a damp grave
smacked your cheek
your social network
won't save your soul
your bowl of oats
can't patch the hole
it's claw cave
where monsters are

unopened jar
