i so desperately wanted to write a full
on review of yesterdays game, but since
it wasn't televised I obviously didn't see it.
I'm on cloud 9 for at least a few more days.
The stuttering England National team stutters
no more. They dismantled Croatia yesterday in
Zagreb 4-1, a team that hasn't lost at home in
a meaningful game since 1990.
Thanks to a hat trick by 19 year old Theo Walcott
& some frosted icing by Wayne Rooney, England
have finally shedded what was left of the Steve
McClaren era.
It looks as if Capello was right all along (as was I, well
not 100%, but pretty close w/the team selection)
From what I heard England dominated most of the
game & made a very strong team look like a pub team.
Pundits, Sports Writers, Fans & Radio Show Hosts have
all had their say on how dismal even a 2-0 win was for England
last week vs Andora. No one (again, except me) saw this
win coming. Now not even I thought they would dominate the
way they did, a 4-1 scoreline was only experienced in my dreams.
Now England stand top of their table on way to winning their
group for 2010 World Cup Qualifying. It looks like the game
itself is being broadcasted Friday on replay. I can assure you
I'll sit & watch all 90 minutes of it, mouth gaping, fists clenched,
& enjoy every second of it.
