"Then I started to think about the abyss that separates the poet from the reader and the next thing I knew I was deeply depressed."
also,
watched Revolutionary Road this past weekend, & only wanted to say how relevant that film was. whether it was set in the mid-50's, 20's, modern day, or the 1700's, as long as man & woman find each other & fall in love & devout themselves to each other, things will happen. what we experienced was a glimpse into a tumultuous relationship between 2 adults. things don't always end up the way we plan them & the important thing about the film is how we adapt to the constantly changing environment of (yes!) adulthood. kids, jobs, friends, & the ever tempestuous third party entering in,.....
but incredible performances by both kate & leo & more so this Michael Shannon bloke, who happens to be from right here in Lexington, who played a "kook", but with honesty. the performance was brilliant.
cheers - jesse
