days run together
like a pack of wild dogs.
Snarling, sometimes furious.
No owner to tame them.
Liked a planned vacation,
those hounds can often display
beauty from a far.
The closer the pack gets,
the faster they run
right past you on their
way to ending,
just to start again.
Other ways to describe days
you ask:
mini-avalanches, or using a
licorice rope to climb
out of a hole.
Maybe pure joy, as long as
the coffee's hot.
Time, slow down.
you'll slip and hurt yourself
if you don't.
This is your last warning.
